Weekly Update - 5th Feb to 12th Feb 2021


Hello, welcome to our weekly update on our progress on the game. The following is what we implemented for the week of 5th Feb to 12th Feb:

General:

  • Implemented all directional movements including diagonals


  • Implemented idle animations for all directions
    • Character now idles in the most recent direction that the player was in moving in

  • Implemeted the interact UI

  • Implemented scrolling text in speech bubbles

Scene 2 and 2.5 Implemented:

  • Implemented hallway model

  • Implemented minigame character model

  • Implemented inverted colours for hallway model

  • Player can interact with doors in scene 2 and 2.5 to get  to the next scenes (door model not yet implemented)
    • Player can interact with door in scene 2 to get to scene 2.5


  • Player can interact with door in scene 2.5 to get to scene 3

Scene 3 Implemented:

  • Implemented full funcationality for levers and bridge

  • Implemented scene transition from scene 3 to 4 via the player falling into the pit (animation yet to be added)

To be Implemented for next week:

General:

  • Redesign the hallway
  • Make the minigame character slower
  • Implement SFX for interacting with the laptop
  • Implement SFX for when speech bubbles appear
  • Implement animation for when speech bubbles appear
  • Implement SFX for character movement

Scene 1:

  • Add curtain sound effect

Scene 2 and 2.5:

  • Implement door animation and transition

Scene 3:

  • Implement lever animation
  • Implement bridge animation
  •  Apply textures

Implement Scene 4:

  • When character spawns in scene 4, lights are off
  • Don't allow player to interact with the laptop unless lights are on

Implement Scene 5:

  • Implement the dialogue/scripted scene
